WHAT IS DEPRESSION?

Depression is defined as the state of feeling sad: it is a a psychoneurotic or psychotic disorder marked especially by sadness, inactivity, difficulty in thinking and concentration, a significant increase or decrease in appetite and time spent sleeping, feelings of dejection and hopelessness and sometimes suicidal tendencies. (Merriam-Websters Collegiate Dictionary)

WHY IS IT IMPORTANT TO TALK ABOUT THIS?

Are you struggling with depression? Are you someone who is living with someone struggling with depression? Self-esteem is at an all-time low and self-centeredness runs rampant. Days are filled with pity parties, and nights become an endurance contest. Man can’t help, no one understands, and God seems a million miles away!
