The Key Issues Of The Prosperity Gospel

- The focus and why
The prosperity gospel leaves a curvature of focus curved inward; what can God do or what will He do if I do this? - Secondly, it places the focus on the created, and not the creator.
- Thirdly, it bases my understanding of God’s love on what He gives and not on the finished work of Christ.
Remember our hearts are only fully satisfied in Christ. Our joy is to be found in Christ. Psalms 103:4 is in direct correlation to this passage - 1 Timothy 6:17-18 (NIV)
Command those who are rich in this present world not to be arrogant nor to put their hope in wealth, which is so uncertain, but to put their hope in God, who richly provides us with everything for our enjoyment.
Command them to do good, to be rich in good deeds, and to be generous and willing to share.
Notice we are given good things by God to renew our energy for Him, not to be focused on ourselves.
There’s no such thing as prosperity gospel. It’s the gospel of the grace of God
